Update on Embracia Aged Care Moonee Valley & Reservoir

Update for Residents, Families and Staff

Embracia Aged Care has not been sold and remains operating as per usual. We have heard concerns from both homes that Embracia Victoria Aged Care has been sold to another aged care provider. We believe this confusion stems from the recent sale of McKenzie Aged Care to Bolton Clarke.

Please be aware this sale has nothing to do with our organisation or our Managing Director, Sarah MacKenzie. Sarah has no relationship with McKenzie Aged Care. It is a mere coincidence that the names are similar, in fact the spelling of the surname is different. Sarah has grown up in aged care, with her mother and late father starting Embracia when she was child. She is passionate and very proud to carry on her parents’ legacy well into the future.

We understand the confusion but want to assure residents, family, and staff that we are a growing organisation with an exciting future in aged care, childcare, and education. Our mission is to provide the best care, support, and education for the community for many years to come.

Any changes in the homes are always in accordance with the Australian Government Standards and reflect our commitment to the health, wellbeing and safety of our residents. We look forward to the year ahead and plan to develop more person centred and innovative care services.

Anyone with concerns or questions is encouraged to contact the manager of our homes. We are happy to answer any questions and hope this communication reassures you and resolves any confusion.
